The #9 investigation team has been disbanded and members of the #9 investigation team have been scattered around. One year later, the Chief of the National Police Agency, Sojiro Kandagawa, orders the creation of a special investigation team to cover from the initial investigation until it is sent to the prosecutor's office. Sojiro Kandagawa appoints Sakutaro Munakata as the leader of the special investigation team. Former #9 investigation team members join the special investigation team.

The Chou Sei Shin Series (Ultra Star God Series) is a trilogy of tokusatsu shows aired from 2003-2006. Created by Toho (who famously produced the Godzilla movies) and Konami, it was their attempt to break into the Henshin Hero market that was — at the time — dominated by Toei and their two major franchises, Super Sentai and Kamen Rider, with Tsuburaya's Ultra Series for good measure. Two years ago, Katsuo Todo (Takashi Naito) was appointed as the general manager of the Plato Royal Hotel Yatsugatake from the Plato Tokyo hotel. He works hard every day with his staff to provide the best time and space for our customers. Concierge Shuji Kitayama (Hishine Saku Toshihide) struggles to find a benefactor for guests Pascal Henry (Frederick Benoliel) and his wife Shizuko (Ishino Yoko). The sweets made by young pastry chef Yoshiyuki Sudo (Shunsuke Tanaka) are popular with guests, and popular writer Fuyuki Nakagami (David Ito) even stays just to enjoy them. Sudo has also decided to marry Minori Matsuoka (Rio Yamashita), and Minami Yamashita (Michiko Amekumi), who is in charge of bridal services, is busy preparing for her colleague's wedding.

Mayuko is a feng shui expert who, in a nearly absurd rush of exposition in the first scene of Dragon Blue, discovers that she is the blood heir of the Dragon Clan and a born demon hunter. It's a completely unmotivated but thoroughly spooky encounter between Mayuko and a demonic ghost, and she's saved by an ancient priest spirit who explains her legacy. "Why does this always happen to me?" she ponders before flying off to a remote island to investigate an ancient curse and battle a legendary Sea Demon. Mayuko befriends a burly, chivalrous detective and a little orphan boy nicknamed "the Devil's Child" who hides his own dark secret.
