The sidewalks of New York will never be the same, thanks to Johnny Twennies, an ace reporter who bangs out his column on an old manual typewriter and is blissfully aware that he sticks out like a sore thubm. Before he went on to direct "Jawbreaker" and "Sparkler," Darren Stein grew up making videos. Along with his friend Adam Shell and the other neighborhood kids, these young film makers touched on such adult subjects as jealousy, cruelty, and sexuality.
