The Investigators is a short-lived American adventure/drama television series that aired on CBS from October 5, to December 28, 1961.

The Muppets gather to watch their newly-finished big-budget rich-and-famous feature film: a talent agent persuades Kermit the Frog to leave the swamp to pursue a career in Hollywood. On his way there, he meets a bear, a pig, a whatever (his future muppet crew), and some special celebrity guest stars, while being chased by the desperate owner of a frog-leg restaurant!

An average Los Angeles citizen witnesses a gang murder when he stops to use a telephone. When he presents himself to the LAPD as the only person willing to identify the culprits, he opens himself up to a campaign of intimidation from the gang involved.

Ten-year-old Ian Green is a loner from a broken home on the not-so-sunny side of the tracks. A curious wanderer, he comes across an abandoned school at the edge of town. Dark and foreboding, Ian is drawn to the mystique of this new playground. To his surprise, he is not the only one to find this place a new haven. Ian has just stumbled onto the new killing grounds of recently escaped prison convict, Wesson Garr. Once aware of Ian's intrusion, Wesson decides this school isn't big enough for the two of them. A realistic and daring approach to a claustrophobic story of survival.
