Rosa salvaje is a Mexican telenovela that was broadcast in 1987. It starred the popular Mexican actress Verónica Castro, who played the main character, "Rosa", co-starring with Guillermo Capetillo as her love interest and Laura Zapata as the villain of the story. This telenovela was a huge success in Mexico, Latin America, Bulgaria, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Russia, Estonia, China the United States, Indonesia and provided the template for numerous other Latin American soap operas in terms of story, plot twists and characters for years to come.

Story about a woman that is unhappily married and with two daughters. She constantly reprimands Cristina and baby Raquel. What the people around her don't know is that Raquel is not her husband's daughter as everyone believes. Raquel is Eugenia and León's daughter. She has always loved him, not her husband. Amor En Silencio is a Mexican telenovela, produced and broadcast by Televisa in 1989. The telenovela, which starred Erika Buenfil and Omar Fierro in the lead roles, is most remembered for its shocking scene in which the main heroine, Marisela and her fiancé Fernando are shot to death at their wedding by Fernando's lunatic sister, Mercedes. The infamous scene aired on a Friday night, and left the TV spectators in suspense until the following Monday episode aired. The theme song for the novela was "Amor en Silencio" by Dulce.
