Two old Leningrad workers, Sukhov and Solyanov, have a long-standing friendship — they worked at the same plant, lived in the neighborhood. Now Solyanov, at the insistence of his son, decides to retire. But it is not so easy to part with his native plant, which, as it turned out, still needs an old personnel officer...
In 1922, in a small town, the boys formed a pioneer squad and named it "Red Bees."
The plot is based on events that took place in St. Petersburg in May 1901, when workers at the Obukhov military factory rebelled against the tsar.
The civil war in Russia, guerrillas fighting with Kolchak formations. As a result of sabotage, accident with white Russian train takes place. One summer, four guys met on the shore of the Gulf of Riga. Azamat came from Kazakhstan. His uncle, a partisan, went missing on Latvian soil. Katya is from Leningrad, and Arvid and Yazep are Latvians. Arvid's mother lived in Kazakhstan during the evacuation, Yazep's uncle and his grandfather were also partisans. The military past brought the guys closer together. The trip to the places of partisan battles was not easy for the friends, but they learned a lot about the events that took place in Latvia during the war.
