Giovannella Grifeo

An episodic satire of the political and social status of Italy in the seventies, through the shows of one day of a television channel.

Count Mátyás Sándor is the protagonist of this exciting series based on the popular novel by Jules Verne. In 1859, after the defeat of the Habsburgs in Italy, the wealthy Transylvanian lord sees the time has come to launch another armed struggle for Hungary's independence. The Viennese Chamberlain, however, learns of his activities and decides to 'liquidate' him. Two adventurous criminals are commissioned to carry out the assassination.

A tremendous congestion hits the Rome highway ring. The biggest traffic jam ever seen lasts more than 36 hours. At the beginning the people blocked in their cars react normally. But as more time passes, the more we witness personal dramas, hysteric reactions and other grotesque situations. All the episodes are linked as if in a single plot. Cars and their hosts are a microcosm of stories part of a larger universe: the congestion.

Three sexy and comic episodes.

A ragtag group of people have to fight extermination squads amid their ruined city.

The aging writer Aurelio Morelli is disillusioned: although the critics like his books, they are barely read. He develops hatred on youth and their depraved moral. One night he goes with a callgirl - and kills her. The police doesn't have a clue, only the unscrupulous sensational journalist Bossi suspects him. Instead of naming him to the police, he persuades Morelli to write about the murder for his paper. Morelli uses the occasion to write his memoirs, in which he confesses lots of other crimes before this last one...

In three vignettes, two exes, a tour guide and a married couple struggle to overcome a series of misadventures during their vacations.

Maria studies at the university while her boyfriend Paolo is an established journalist. Both are drug addicts. Maria and Paolo try to detox with the help of a specialized clinic but it doesn't last long: back from a trip during which they proved to themselves that they could resist without drugs, both fall victim to addiction again. The consequences are not long in coming.

In the year 1870 Rome, then governed by the Pope, was captured by the Italian General La Marmora's troops. After the armistice, the Italian soldier Alfonso killed a Pope's soldier, the son of Don Prospero. Then he sought refuge in the house of Don Prospero himself. There Costanza and Olimpia, respectively the wife and the daughter of Don Prospero, fall for him. Then Gustavo, who knew that Alfonso had killed Don Prospero's son arrived in the house... Some things are going to happen

In 1867, with Garibaldi's forces close to bringing Rome into the Italian kingdom, Monsignor Colombo da Priverno, a world-weary judge on the papal court, wants to resign, disgusted by the violence to which the papacy resorts to hold secular power.

A young man moves to an apartment where an actor has just committed suicide. There is a room with cabinets full of theatrical objects and posters of old films. A child spies on him and in the house opposite a girl haunts him.
