Overnight, nothing changes for Leonie and Tom Sauter: their four-year-old daughter Salomé has vanished without a trace. When a ransom demand arrives, the extortionist turns out to be an opportunist who has nothing to do with the kidnapping – but the man is fatally hit by a train during the money exchange. Tom, now suspected of murder, decides to flee. Together with private investigator Lüthi and journalist Ulla Merz, the Sauters try to find Salomé.
In Search of Salomè

It's 1922. A weather observer and his wife live in a remote cabin high in the Swiss Alps. As this drama begins, they are being joined by a third person, an Austrian who coveted the job the Swiss man had won in this bleak location. Not only that, but he also has his eyes on the Swiss man's lovely wife. The Austrian has charm, so he wins some hospitality from the couple. The three live together for a little while, but the rivalry between the two men soon erupts with tragic consequences.
The Mountain

During the WW2, a Swiss mountain farmer, refuses to follow the government policy to increase self-sufficiency with produce. In his opinion, the steep mountain pastures are not suited for agriculture. Most of the villagers agree. However some begin to cultivate. Even after all his fellow farmers have given in and have started to plant cops, Tanner continues his opposition and ignores all letters and instructions. This leads to a series of reprimands, for instance, some of his hay is seized and his wife cannot buy at the local grocer's since the family won't comply with the government policy.
