A sort of guardian angel, a strange character who follows her around at all times, will guide her toward solving her problems.

To answer these questions, the director Sophie Chiarello decides to follow the pupils of a primary class in a school immersed in a multi-ethnic neighbourhood. For five years with her camera, she lowers her gaze to child height to capture their point of view of the world. The Circle is not a documentary about children, but with children. Disarming and genuine as only they know how to be.

During world war two, two illetterate farmers from the north Italy, father and son, ask a shrewd postman to help them read the letter sent by the son (granson) from the russian war front. At night, they invent a way to send the soldier a pair of new shoes. Surprise ending...
