Robert moves from the Polish countryside to work on a fish processing factory on the coast of Norway. There he falls in love with Ivar who is openly gay and a member of the workers union. Robert is hiding his sexual orientation from the other Polish immigrant workers. When Ivar helps the Polish to start a strike for better working conditions at the factory, Robert has to choose between money or love.

Boys On Film showcases short works from around the world that challenge genre, initiate discussion and explore issues of sexuality in beautiful ways. HIM consists of three separate stories in one film. Harald (11) is a boy who constantly falls outside the group. He is not recognized either by friends, school or parents. Emil (30) is unemployed, he is angry and looks down on everyone else. Petter (60) is a Norwegian renowned scriptwriter who wants to make a film about the national hero Fridtjof Nansen. Two men and one boy, one day in Oslo, whom all experiences a social and emotional fall. The film discusses the male role in the contemporary Norway.

Two friends, Björn and Hampus, decide to move in together. If one ignores the fact that the two men are completely different, theirs is a close relationship. Being in love with your best friend and, in spite of this, or because of it, arguing to the point where it becomes unbearable.

The successful short film compilation series continues with six outstanding films focused on school and college-age youth. 6 Shorts: Benny's gym (2007); Flatmates [Kompisar] (2007); Kali Ma (2007); Mr_Right_22 (2007); Secrets (2007); Yeah No Definitely (2007).

In Open Call the relationship between art, the people and the municipality is put to a test. An artist gets the commission to create an artwork to mark the city jubilee. With “participation” as method, a group of citizens of Oslo joins the project. They are asked to develop and present their own art proposals under the guiding principles “trust, creativity and joyful collaboration”. Together the group will come to a joint conclusion of the best artwork for the city. The project develops into a tragicomic dystopia when the artist attempts to please the municipal bureaucracy as well as multifaceted public.

A discussion arises in a women's locker room when a trans woman is asked to leave. The situation escalates rapidly as more people chime in, all with different opinions about what makes a woman.

We follow a maternity group for a year. Parents and babies who are put together in groups of the health station and who meet at each other's home and eat lunch. Some of them have big plans. They will buy and sell property. Some are concerned about doing things right. Can babies eat cucumbers? What about cheese?

A middle-aged couple is tenting in the forest. Bjørn seems more used to the setting than Lars, but they are both influenced by the nature surrounding them.

Knut is a middle aged, lonely man, in desperate need of company. Mirza is an illegal immigrant, in need of every help he can get.
