The film follows two brothers over the course of a decade. While they begin as kids in search of thrills in the sprawling slums of Morocco’s Sidi Moumen, we witness their gradual, and ultimately shocking, radicalisation.

Suburb of Algiers, 1994. Anya, 7 years old, lives her life as a little girl, largely unaware of the tensions of the civil war tearing the country apart. She has only one wish: for her father, a journalist on a mission, to return in time for the Mouloud celebration. But the harsh reality gradually seeps into her daily life, causing her childhood innocence to waver.

When two boys from different social backgrounds connect via the internet, they go on an adventure into the suburbs around Paris. Lost among architectural projects from times when the future was still bright, they nourish their own personal utopia.
