Impure Blood (Serbian: Нечиста крв, Nečista krv) is a 1996 film adaptation of the Impure Blood novel written by Borisav Stanković. It is concerned with themes of Serbian south, in the reforming in late 19th century.

Sisyphus is a shepherd who lives by the river. A solitary man who falls into trap set by the gods. He dares to stand against the almighty Zeus, bringing upon himself his wrath. The revenge of the gods seems simple – they send Death after Sisyphus.

A war drama told through the memories of Sofija (Sofka’s daughter) – Bojana Peković and the daily stories she hears from her grandfather or father Marko – Rade Šerbedžija. The fate of the family sends Sofija to the Komitas in order to avenge her ancestors. Sofija's weapons are a pistol, a rifle, a saber, but also a fiddle.

Johnny Racković - Belgrade writer and artist, faced with the fact that he lost his mother, and then almost his own life, transforms into an animated hero from hell who is searching for his own sanity. The moment he begins to see the rules of transformation, the perspective of the whole story changes. And that new perspective will reveal to him that the whole world is threatened by the outbreak of a general plague and that he has become... KING OF NOTHING.
