Biography

Veronica Belmont is an American technology and gaming-centric video host based out of San Francisco. Currently her projects include Tekzilla (a weekly tech help and how-to show on Revision3.com), and The Sword and Laser, a science fiction and fantasy podcast and community, co-hosted with Tom Merritt. She has also written for Slate, DoubleX, MaximumPC and PC Gamer, and was the original host of Qore on the PlayStation Network. Veronica initially made her mark as a producer and on-air talent for CNET Networks (now CBS Interactive). She worked on such shows as Buzz Out Loud, MP3 Insider, Crave, and Prizefight. In 2007 she left CNET to host the eclectic video show Mahalo Daily, which was named one of the top new podcasts in 2008 on iTunes. An avid gamer and social-networking fanatic (with over 1 million Twitter followers), Veronica often speaks about her interests at conferences and panels. She has also been the emcee at events for companies such as gdgt, Boxee, MacHeist and RiffTrax, and advises for companies such as About.me, gdgt, Goodreads, Soundtracking, WeGame, and others. She lives with one entrepreneur and two cats (and too many gadgets). Veronica graduated from Emerson College, B.A. in Audio/Radio, focus in New Media studies.

Tekzilla was an American video podcast on the Revision3 network (Tekzilla was released every Tuesday). It was hosted by Patrick Norton and Shannon Morse, with Roger Chang (who also acts as the show's producer) as a frequent guest host. For the first 14 episodes of Tekzilla, Patrick's co-host was Jessica Corbin, who made a guest appearance on episode 16 confirming she has left the show. In November 2013, Veronica Belmont left the show. She had been a host on Tekzilla since 2008. Shannon Morse became the new host. On November 25, 2014, Tekzilla aired for the final time. Starting in January 2015, Patrick Norton and Shannon Morse went on to create and host TekThing, funded by Patreon and recorded in the Hak5 studio.

Free Stuff was a television program on the G4 network. In this show "featured products" ranging in value from $20.00 to $599.00 are previewed and then given away. Viewers enter to win the items by using their computer to submit codes which are shown to the viewers by Lloyd the Chimp during commercial breaks. Viewers must enter each code within 3 minutes.The names of the products' winners are announced at the end of the show. The show aired throughout the month of June 2007 at 6:30 and 10:00 PM EDT/PDT and officially ended on June 29, 2007. Free Stuff is hosted by Morgan Webb and Kevin Pereira. Blair Butler, Wil O'Neal and Joel Gourdin also appear sometimes to help show off the gadgets and gear. Zach Selwyn is a street reporter and travels the streets of LA giving away new gadgets to random people on the street, usually for doing something Zach finds amusing.
