The Metropolitan Police Department '0'section, known as an organization in the police department that investigates a closed case. Well-trained detective in the '0' section, Rei, is looking for her memory that was lost during the training, while also investigating a human traffic which young woman being a victim. One day, classified killer virus was seized by rising terrorists. To investigate this case, public safety sent Sarah Kodama who specializes in molecular biology and computer, to work with Rei but Rei refuses to work with Sarah. Sarah was curious about mysterious Rei, so she starts to collect Rei's information and goes to see Rei's former boss, Asami. However, the man who appeared in front of Sarah was an assassinator who contemplates destruction of '0' section. What happens to Sarah...!? What is in Rei's lost memories!?
Naive office girl Yuko supports her blithe big city lifestyle with a part-time job at a neighborhood cafe. Attracted to her manager there, the shallow but charming Yutaka, she willingly succumbs to his lascivious advances only to discover afterward that he already has a girlfriend by the name of Midori. Even so, Yuko's feelings for Yutaka continue to grow regardless of his aloofness. Before long she finds herself reluctantly cajoled into working as a hostess in a small karaoke bar. Fatalistically accepting his dalliances with flames old and new, she perseveres not so much in hope of a more substantial relationship, but rather out of fear of losing him. There are other men out there waiting for her -- kinder, more considerate and eagerly available. But for Yuko, there is only the non-committal, yet torridly magnetic Yutaka. Why him? Not even Yuko seems to know the answer.
A series of resident disappearances occurs at a Kyowakai-owned apartment in Kabukicho, Shinjuku, home to many people with complicated backgrounds. Nakajima (Yoshimi Tachi) volunteers to investigate, and Tamura (Yoshiyuki Yamaguchi), uneasy about sending him alone, orders Saito (Katsuya) to accompany him. Despite searching Kabukicho, they find no solid leads. That night, Saito recalls a rumor about the “Kabukicho kidnappings” from 20 years earlier, told to him in prison by Wang (Weng Huarong), and reaches out to him.
