Maria Bonino and Julia Peters are two secretaries in a high-powered New York advertising agency. They are promoted to art director and copywriter and begin their new careers with enthusiasm. Other people in the agency include J.M. Bedford, chairman of the board; Toni McBain, the President; April Baxter, a copywriter; Eddie Barnes, a TV commercial producer, and Craig Boatwright, a salesman.
