Night. Air raid sirens. Insomnia. A girl returns to a city she barely recognizes and confronts the changes in it and its inhabitants.
The story follows a young scientist in the contemporary world, who actually came from the world of dwarves, thanks to a magic potion, held by the Big Eater, ruler of the dwarves. The dwarf kingdom, Shuflandia, exists in a cellar of a library, and only the most obedient get the chance to grow to king size and inhabit the larger world. Once there, nobody wants to return to Shuflandia. Also, there are no women in Shuflandia.
"Mieso" (Meat) is a satirical and irreverent revision of the most recent history of Poland.

A moody love story featuring a cat and mouse. Even if we are lucky enough to love and be loved, deep down we remain a bit lonely. The film talks about how dearly we have to pay for our inability to endure this loneliness. About the fact that we must take care of love carefully, because returning to a loved one may prove impossible, even if there is a glowing longing on both sides. A broken diamond can no longer be glued together.
A century of Polish animation unfolds pre-war avant-garde experiments to today’s independent scene. A chronicle of artistic triumphs and an intimate portrait of a medium that constantly redefined the boundaries of imagination.
The film was inspired by one of the most important documentaries shot by Krzysztof Kieślowski, Talking Heads (1980). The director asked his interlocutors seemingly simple questions, such as “Who are you?” and “What do you want?”.

The author rejects the pompous, exalted, pathos-laden, obligatory admiration that paralyses the possibility of hearing Chopin's music in a fresh way.
