This film could easily be a true story taken from contemporary Denmark. It is a typical Tuesday morning: stormy weather, slush, and bitter cold. Two young women are cycling to work. They make an unpleasant discovery: they find a dead man on a bench in the park.

In a small Zealand village, where everything seems to be idyllic, lives the seamstress Bolette Jensen, a bold woman who has had her share of bitter experiences and is now feared for her sharp tongue. Bolette tends to speak her mind without mincing words, and since the truth is, as is well known, unheard of, she is not particularly liked by the parish authorities, the most prominent of whom is the parish council chairman Peter Enevoldsen. Bolette is given a serious task when the young, beautiful Sofie is about to have a baby, and Bolette immediately takes care of the unhappy girl and promises that she will probably walk up the aisle with her Karl.

A young woman of good family is driven into one of thieves and prostitutes and ends in suicide.

The Danish Ingen tid til Kaertegn (Be Dear to Me) is heavily reliant on the appeal of its star, 8-year-old Eva Cohn. Our heroine is the neglected child of a businessman father and actress mother. Feeling that happiness lies well outside her own backyard, Eva goes on a search for that happiness. The longer she stays away, the more her parents realize that they've unfairly ignored her. The plot is nothing new: it's what is done with it that pleases the eye and ear. Ingen tid til Kaertegn was one of the more popular entries in the 1957 Berlin Film Festival.

Lau Lauritzen plays an ordinary architect, with a wife and a son. He gets accused for killing a 10-year old girl, and of course nobody doubts he's the one. Even his wife and his uncle has trouble believing him, but at least they don't tell him.

Obsession is an excellent film about the extremes of emotion and the unbearable lightness of life.

It centers on the character Helene Hannøe, an attorney who forms close relationships with her troubled clients while trying to solve their problems.

Though her existence is a sad one, two things in particular can cheer the princess up: stories about the cunning smuggler Madsalune, and flirting with her humble suitor, Lieutenant Johan Gordon. One fine day, the two joys merge into one, when it transpires that the lieutenant is in fact the smuggler Madsalune in disguise! After years living in the province, the well-respected lawyer Poul Lindorph returns to the capital. While he is expected to take up the post of Director of Public Prosecutions, his wife Maria is far less enthusiastic about returning to the city. She fears bumping into the editor Asp, with whom she shares a secret: Several years ago, she became Asp’s mistress in order to save Poul and herself from financial ruin. At the old Copenhagen Castle, a strange drama is played out in the year 1699 - the last year of King Christian V's life. One winter day, the young Junker Friedrich von Kötschau comes from Hesse to Christian V's court. The old gloomy castle is filled with sadness, where the king's increasing weakness puts a damper on all the joy of life. Friedrich von Kötschau is a handsome young nobleman, and even His Majesty is delighted with his many cheerful inventions. In addition, he has a prescription for gold, and the king gives him permission to experiment in the castle cellar with the old palace pharmacist Paulus.
