Police Cadet '84 was a TV series which included such stars in TVB as Tony Leung, Maggie Cheung, and notably, Carina Lau. The story centered on a couple of young "cadets" in the Police Cadet School. Tragedy, romance, conflicts, and intrigues were featured. The series was immediately followed by a sequels titled "New Police Cadet '85" and "New Police Cadet '88". Both sequels stars Tony Leung.

A whacky 1974 comedy starring David Chiang who was also the director, that's one to see. Well it certainly is whacky, and the film is actually a number of short pieces, varying in length from a couple of minutes to the last story that is 30 minutes or so.

The fallout resulting from a botched Triad gang smuggling job forces a young couple to separate - she becomes a kingpin’s unwilling moll and he travels to the Philippines to work as a contract killer. Six years later, the two are reunited in a chance encounter, but their rekindled emotions and people from their past lead them into extreme danger.

Shy and timid Hung is asked by his jailbird brother to look after his mistress and his unsuspecting wife. Chaos and many hilarious situations arise when Hung is caught between the two women.

Husker is a student of the Shaolin monks, learning kung fu so that he can avenge his uncle who was murdered by the Manchus who control the province. He leaves his training early, desperate to teach the killers a lesson, and teams up with a martial artist monk who is teaching a group of factory workers how to defend themselves. When the Manchus strike again, Husker and his Buddhist pal decide it's time to even the score.

Joe, a reckless cab driver, accidentally hits someone with his taxi. The person he hit is May, a sweet girl who walks with a limp due to one of her legs being longer than the other. Joe mistakenly thinks that he's paralyzed May for life; so in order to make it up to her, he works for her family, helping them run their grocery store. This is director/martial arts star Frankie Chan's unofficial remake of the Kinji Fukasaku film SHOGUN'S SAMURAI (1978). Instead of Japanese samurai in a period setting, we get modern day Chinese gangsters battling each other for the position left vacant after the mysterious death of their head honcho.

Chu Yu (Eric Tsang) is a homicide detective who accidently stabs his girlfriend while wrestling with a murderer. The killer returns later and squeezes her wound until it ruptures, causing her death. But the wily Chu Yu photographs his girlfriend's corpse in a wedding dress, tricking the killer into believing she is not dead and causing him to return for a second try. When he does, Chu Yu is waiting, having rigged the corpse like a marionette and causing it to shoot its own murderer. Co-starring Danny Lee, as Officer Li Ta Hsiu, and Dick Wei in this decidedly offbeat attempt at gallows humor which works extremely well under the direction of action specialist Frankie Chan.

Working as a telephone operator on the nightshift, David Lau received some calls from a woman for a David and agrees to a blind date. Wearing a violet on his lapel, David mistakes someone else for his date. Jennie Lee, a stranger, comes calling at the hotel, addressing a bewildered David with an intimacy that is familiar and awkward. The hopes Jennie's parents are pinning on the new David to boost their daughter's recovery are merely wishes.

Other onlookers who saw his expression walked up to him, and Ah Q proudly claimed that he was the same age as Zhao's grandfather. They listened to him respectfully, but with some suspicion. The local constable demanded that each household pay two hundred yuan to congratulate Master Zhao, but everyone rejected the proposal......

As the Cantonese 'Jane' Bond films evolved, the genre became less Bond-like, cutting down on the staging of fights and the flaunting of secret weapons. The heroine(s) remained an action figure, complete with quick wits and agile prowess, but the stories increasingly took on the jewel theft plot and the twilight world of decadent deviance. The Mysterious Sisters is no exception as director Ng Wui renders high class thefts in the style of the classic French film Rififi, and long stretches of action that unfold without dialogue.

Kum is hurt but still does tell her the truth. She decides to returns to Singapore. She goes to Fan's house to see her once more. Fan is having her birthday party. She insults Kum and throws a glass of wine in her face. Fai cannot stand it anymore and tells his wife who Kum really is. Fan feels guilty. All the others are moved by what Kum has suffered and they start to accept her.

The Fragrant Sword is a Hong Kong Martial Arts movie starring Stanley Fung. Yu Lap-chung has been executed for the murders of martial alliance members when the black-clad assailant to blame is still roaming free. Apprehended by the murder threats to the helmsman of Emei and Xueshan, Golden-clad Ambassador of the alliance solicits help from the security escort master Wai To, Yu in disguise spared from execution by his master who had a rapist stand in his place. The fake scholar ingratiates himself with Ai Ching-yee, daughter of the Mulberry Pillar Fortress helmsman Ai Pak-chuen and exposes the father's conspiracy with his sworn brother to rule the martial world by dispatching Ching-yee's senior disciple Sze-hung Ying to commit atrocities against the martial alliance. Yu cajoles Ching-yee into assisting in Sze-hung's capture and with the culprit handed over to the alliance, the young lovers wander away.
