Vijay Choudhury lives a comfortable lifestyle with his wife, Laxmi, and step-brother, Ravi. Although Vijay and Laxmi have been married for several years, they have no children, and as a result Laxmi is shunned and humiliated in the entire town of Madhopur, despite of the fact the Vijay is the Chair of the Village Panchayat. After Ravi completes his M.A., he falls in love with the only daughter, Lalita, of Milawatram and Bandharlekha. Since the Choudhurys and Milawatram do not get along, both anticipate problems from both sides. They do overcome these problems, get married, and Lalita proves to Vijay and Laxmi that she is here to be one of the Choudhury family member. Soon Lalita and Laxmi both get pregnant, and it is here that the family will be subjected to a trauma as only one woman will be able to give birth to a child. Watch what happens when a son is born and resultant anxiety that will end up tearing this family apart.
Rai Bahadur is a wealthy man who lives in a palatial home with his grand-daughter, Pinky, and grandson, Raju. One night Raju gets abducted and is sold to notorious and hideous-looking gangster Ustad, who forces crippled children to beg and steal for him. Raju also gets inducted in this gang, and is taught to steal at a very young age. Years later, Pinky recognizes Raju as her brother and takes him home to grandpa, who accepts him immediately and provides for him with joy. Then a few days later some silver items are stolen from his house, and Raju is missing. Rai Bahadur is shocked and reports this matter to the police, and continues his search for his missing grandson. Is Raju really his grandson? Did he actually steal the silver items?
Subhash, a young man, returns to his village only to find it in miserable conditions due to two tyrannical rulers. When he tries to help the villagers, the rulers send a henchman to deal with him.

Girdharilal (Kader Khan) is a very rich and wealthy man. He has made a number of enemies. One of his enemies asks a beggar to masquerade as Girdharilal for a price, to which the beggar agrees. The switch takes place, with the real Girdharilal being abducted. A series of hilarious and comical events take turn as the beggar attempts to pretend to be a rich, left-handed tycoon.

His sister, Dolly (Roshini) and brother, Gulu (Gulshan Grover) both scheme a devious plot that will ensure the death of Dhaniram, and the control of his wealth will rest with them and Gogi.
Widower Shankar lives a middle-class lifestyle in India along with daughters, Sudha and Guddiya, and son, Rakesh, and makes a living working as a Cashier in a bank. He is very friendly with his neighbor, Karim, who lives by himself. Sudha has fallen in love with Captain Deepak Verma, a Pilot, the only child of widower Colonel Verma, and he arranges their marriage. Before even the engagement could take place, Shankar confesses to stealing ten thousand rupees from the bank to help a deserving customer, he is arrested, tried in Court, and sentenced to 3 years in jail. He is then subsequently transferred to a jail in Nasik but keeps in touch with his children by writing letters through Karim. Karim takes it upon himself to assist this family, but the earnings are not enough and Sudha as well as Rakesh find employment.
