Yeo Su-Jin

Ha Dong, Kyung Nam Province in 1890. Choi Chi-Su's family is a grand land lord of the region from generation to generation. His mother Mrs. Yoon gives birth to another son Hwan after she was raped by Kim Gae-Ju when he is 10 years old. Later Hwan becomes a servant of Choi family but he falls in love with Chi-Su's wife and they flee by night. Meanwhile after a reign of 40 years of King Ko Jong, cholera prevails all over the country and years of famine follows it. While people suffer from natural disasters and diseases, one of Chi-Su's maternal relative Cho Jun-Ku and his wife make a plot to take Choi family's enormous wealth and strengthen the foundation for his status. In this chaos some villagers and Seo-Hee, Chi-Su's daughter leave their village for Buk Kan Do.

A mummy is found at a construction site, which is presumed to be made in Jo-Seon Dynasty period. It is transferred to Seoul and to be kept in Lee Dong-Hyeok's, an archeologist due to the state of the museum in the university. On that night, his wife's behavior is so strange. Knowing that his wife is not cured by the modern medical science, Dong-Hyeok gets help from Professor Yu, a psychicist. Yoo finds out the mummy is In Yeon-Ryong, who was killed on a false charge by Seon-Jo 3oo years ago. Dong-Hyeok makes every effort to return his wife to the normal condition.

At her funeral as Bae Baeng-Yi's coffin doesn't move, a shaman holds an exorcism and asks Jeong junior to soothe for her spirit and fidelity. Finally funeral service is over without problem. By the way lady Oh, who is annoyed by Bae Baeng-Yi's resented spirit, falls from a cliff to death in a half-mad state. Those who exploited illicit and superstition die out.

After the Korean War, Young-gu and his family establish a successful restaurant in Seoul. Their son grows up to graduate from university and eventually becomes a prosecutor, fulfilling his parents’ hopes for upward mobility. Proud but socially awkward, Young-gu becomes involved in a series of comedic situations that test those around him. Over time, his sincerity wins people over, and the family looks ahead to a stable and happy future.
