Fallen Angel is a Mandarin Chinese episodic drama produced jointly by Singaporean broadcaster MediaCorp TV and Malaysian broadcaster Media Prima Berhad. It was telecasted on Singapore's free-to-air channel, MediaCorp Channel 8. It made its debut on 6 July 2007 and ended on 30 August 2007. This drama serial consists of 25 episodes, and was screened on every weekend night at 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. It was the first joint production between the two companies, and is a remake of Television Corporation of Singapore drama Wings Of Desire.
The Biu Family collects their lottery winnings in Canada and returns to Hong Kong to start a new life together, minus the second daughter due to a family quarrel of her involvement with her boyfriend. After Mrs. Biu shows off her money to her old friends at her bank, she loses it all in a robbery. Now, void of their new found wealth, the Biu Family must start over from scratch again.
Mr. Wong (Michael Hui) is the chief chef in a Teppanyaki restaurant. His overbearing wife and sadistic father-in-law make his home life a misery, so he spends all day dreaming about his dream girl, Sissy (Sally Yeh). As Hong Kong television entered the 1990s, this cross-network gala looked back over the industry's history from the founding of the territory's first subscription station in 1957 — the launch of TVB, the three-way rivalry between TVB, RTV and CTV, and the fierce ratings wars — with Sir Run Run Shaw and other key figures telling the story in person, and a star-studded line-up including Chow Yun-fat, Liza Wang, Sam Hui and Stephen Chow performing in tribute to the industry's finest.
