September 1939. The beginning of the Second World War. Major Sokolov of Soviet intelligence arrives in Crimea. His main goal is to identify the agent network of the terrorist anti–Soviet organization ROVS. The head of the counterintelligence of the Russian General Military Union is Staff Captain Semenov, alias Krest.

A dedicated and serious entrepreneur, Andrey Grekov, got into a very unpleasant situation and was forced to pay a large sum of money. However, these are not the best times in the hero's life, his property has been confiscated, and he has not a penny in his pocket. Of the valuables, the young man has only an old tanker, thanks to which he receives a strange order for the transportation of oil. The hero does not think long about a suspicious case, because the money must be given very urgently. The seemingly simple task turned out to be not so easy, and now Andrey found himself in the midst of dangerous and serious events.

Berlin, A Polterabend (i.e. a party on the eve of a marriage) is taking place in a café. An American has persuaded his German friend to marry him, after just one month of knowing each other. But while Anke has decided to create a family for her and her baby, Bruce has reservations. The party's member consist of various immigrants that happened to be there, each with his own problems and Anke's mother who objects to the marriage and is expelled by her own daughter.
