Sidney and Dre can attribute their lifelong friendship and the launch of their careers to one single childhood instant... witnessing the birth of hip-hop on a New York street corner. Now some 15 years later, she is a revered music critic at a national magazine and he is a successful, though unfulfilled, hip-hop record company executive. Both come to realize that their true life passions will only be fulfilled by remembering what they learned that day on the corner.

In the panicky, uncertain hours before his wedding, a groom with prenuptial jitters and his two best friends reminisce about growing up together in the middle-class African-American neighborhood of Inglewood, California. Flashing back to the twenty-something trio's childhood exploits, the memories capture the mood and nostalgia of the '80s era.

All aboard for a musical treat from the internationally acclaimed jazz start ! Krall performs five songs from her new album The Girl in the other room for an audience at Toronto's beautiful and historic Union Station.

A great little set by Diana Krall, filmed when she took the "Quiet Nights" tour to Montreux, but played a mixed program that includes tracks from that album (Burt Bacharach/Hal David's "Walk On By"), from the follow-up DVD "Live in Rio" (Irving Berlin's "Cheek To Cheek") and other songs like "Wide River Cross," "Simple Twist of Fate" and a fiery rendition of Tom Waits' "Jockey Full of Bourbon."
