Angelo Debarre meets his friends for a tribute to the culture of Travellers. Since Django Reinhardt, which is celebrated 100 years, until today, this rich music that thrilled several generations. He is talking about the past and future by remembering the fabulous legacy of Django: spiritual father of gypsy jazz.

They hold a "travel permit" instead of an identity card; they are free, poignant and brotherly. They are the "Brothers of the Wind" as filmed by Bruno Le Jean in a music documentary: Angelo Debarre, Ninine Garcia, Tchavolo Schmitt and Moreno. Django-style swing permanently caresses their guitars. It is not so much the concerts that Bruno Le Jean has captured but rather the soul of his heroes. He does so using images and a sense of composition and movement that has everything: emotion, humour and poetry. Crafted with tact and sensitivity by a "gadjo" who truly understands gypsy culture, Les Fils du vent is an indisputable success.

Django Reinhardt, the Roma genius, born to Gypsy parents in 1910, is considered by many to be the single most important guitarist in the entire history of jazz. To honor the 100th anniversary of Django's birth, one hundred of his disciples, including his grandson David Reinhardt, have gathered together for the Django 100 Centennial Tour -- traveling the world to pay homage to this exceptional type-setter who marked the 20th century.
