Alekos Alexandrakis

A poor neighborhood of Athens, Asyrmatos, is the center of the world for the people who live there and try in every way to escape from poverty and destitution. A handsome released youth, Ricos (Alekos Alexandrakis), is trying to make money, at the same time that his lover, Stefi (Aliki Georgoulis), is seeing other men and her father, Nekrophoras (Manos Katrakis), is trying to contribute in family finances. Rico will set up a job, but will spend the money raised before he can put it into action. As a result, one of his "partners" (Alekos Petsos) will commit suicide, leaving his pregnant wife, Eleni (Aleka Paizis), to her fate. Rikos, his beloved and her father, defeated and disappointed because of the expectations that were never fulfilled, will be forced to come to terms with the harsh reality.

"Kokkinos Kyklos" is a series of standalone episodes based on crimes that shocked public opinion. However, the stories have been altered so that neither the people nor the situations are recognizable. The heroes of the series are sometimes the perpetrators and sometimes the victims, and their stories extend from the boundaries of drama to those of thriller. How far do these stories deviate from the truth? As much as people’s opinions differ amongst themselves, since each of us has their own personal truth. For this reason, the series doesn't simply aim to recreate a story or re-imagine characters. It doesn’t only want to entertain. It simultaneously attempts to make the viewer think by presenting another perspective – the perspective of one of the heroes of the story, who after much consideration is chosen as the central hero of the episode.

A series of events leads a group of young people, spending their summer on an Aegean island, to make life-changing decisions.

When four siblings, Alexandros, Konstantinos, Natalia and Marianna lose their parents and learn that they will not inherit anything, as their father was in debt, they are forced to work, leaving behind the luxurious life they had. At the same time, Alexandros falls in love with Elli in Paxos, who is on vacation, his brother's girlfriend and later wife, while Natalia and Marianna experience love in the person of a bisexual and a married man respectively, without knowing the truth of course. Their kind-hearted and unfortunately paralyzed grandfather tries to find a solution to their problems.

Pavlos, a conservatory student dreaming of becoming a great artist of quality music, lives with his fiancée Kaiti in a small room, hosted by two friends. Due to financial tribulations, he is forced to join his friends' folk band and performs every night at a night club. That's were Mr Giorgos and his lover Liza frequent. Liza, a rich girl, falls in love with Pavlos and tries to seduce him. However, when she realizes how deeply he loves his fiancée, decides to help him get back together with Kaiti.

Young Antinoos is on vacation on an island where he meets a seductive woman, Eva, who is having a miserable time with her middle-aged husband, Alekos. Eva is attracted to Antinoos, who is her missing part, but at the same time, she feels guilty and tries to suppress her passion.

The murder of an underworld figure, Takis Katridis, puts Martha, a young girl who was in love with him, as well as her father, craftsman Giannis, in the dock. Each one of them, separately, claims to be the guilty one, so that the other won’t go to prison.

Twelve year old Christos Myrisiotis lives with his mother Eleni on a remote picturesque Aegean island. The boy has been doubly singled out by fate. He has a remarkable musical talent but at the same time is condemned to going blind as a result of a rare disease. Now an eccentric loner, Christos finds an outlet in nature and the dream world of a cave where his heightened hearing enables him to collect natural sounds which he then turns to musical compositions for his violin. His only friends are his classmate Angeliki and the old lighthouse keeper Soursoumis who teaches him not only the violin but also about life in general. Everything changes when the new schoolteacher Maria arrives on the island. She develops a great interest in Christos’ exceptional abilities even though he keeps on being indifferent to school. On her own initiative Maria ensures his participation in a music contest. Christos’ traumatic family and personal experiences cause him to mature as an artist.

During the Balkan Wars, Vivika Zaharouli, sick and tired of the goings-on of her womanizer husband, welcomes in Athens her godchild, who comes to live in their house. She doesn't know, however, that this is not her godchild but an impostor, Petros Harmidis, who took the other's place because he is in love with her. One day, she is visited by a classmate of hers from their old girl's school, Kiki, who is Harmidis' wife. At first there was the theatrical adaptation, by Manolis Skouloudis, of the legendary Dreyfus Affair (an adaptation based on the novel by Emile Zola). It was then transferred to the cinema. The subject: the early 20th century and the military establishment, with the help of a money-loving and womanizing junior officer (Alekos Alexandrakis), accuses Captain Alfred Dreyfus (Dimitris Myrat) of treason, because he allegedly handed over secrets to the Germans. After a mock trial, where expediency prevailed, Dreyfus was convicted and imprisoned. However, Emile Zola firmly believes in his innocence and, through the press, fights a brave and effective battle, which will lead to the uncovering of the conspiracy and the restoration of the honor of the unjustly slandered captain.

Vasilis is a poor conservative man who works in a company and tends to buy the lottery very often - but with no luck. His life will turn upside down when his younger sister turns out to be an anarchist and gets involved with a leftist rebellious man he already knows and hates. Eventually, in an ironic twist of faith, the two of them will earn millions and gain the exact lifestyle they used to fight against and Vasilis will lose his mind.

The strict and formal director Lila Vassiliou has under her orders all the staff of the technical office of which she takes over the management, but at the same time, she is looking to find ways of charm to conquer the lively sub-engineer Alekos Samiotakis.
