For several decades, Dirch Passer was by far the most popular Danish revue and film comedian. Dirch Passer appeared in around 100 films in just under 30 years and was one of the country's most prolific actors. The film, which came about as a result of a collaboration between the great comedian and Swedish director Arne Mattson, is typical Dirch Passer entertainment, in which Denmark's happy man travels to its northern neighbor and becomes entangled in a myriad of cheerful episodes. If you like Danish folk comedy, you can't go wrong with "Blåjakkerne."
