Damian, grieving his girlfriend's death, travels through Mexico seeking solace. Along the way, he connects with strangers and witnesses their coping rituals, finding a path through his own memories and regrets.

Two brothers, Samuel and Rodrigo, live with their mother in a suburban town. One day the mother, who has mental health problems, disappears leaving nothing behind but a note. David Pablos is a young Mexican filmmaker, born in 1982. His first short film, El mundo al atardecer, was made in 2007. La canción de los niños muertos (2008) was his second short film; he presented his first feature-length film Una frontera, todas las fronteras (2010) at the Berlinale Talent Campus before coming to Venice with his second film, La vida despues, for the 70th Venice International Film Festival.

A teenager loses his hearing after a terrible accident. Shortly after, he falls in love with a foreign girl living in México. He discovers that being in love makes him hear again.

Ulises reunites with Rodrigo to bury a secret. A weapon that involves them in the death of his friend Mayo. The two embark on a journey in which they will face their deepest demons and in the end only Rodrigo will be free.

Five children are isolated with their father on a lonely beach after the death of their mother. As the days go by, the children start torturing their father.

A romance between the painters and writers: Dr. Atl and Nahui Olin arises in this era, the 20's, while Jose Vasconcelos founded the Ministry of Education and call all the intellectuals of the country for this project. Mr. President Alvaro Obregon, who feels devotion for the intellectuals allows one of the most important cultaral crusades of our history. In this liberal atmosphere where gays, the divorce, the vote for women, began to be accepted, several of our protagonists are given in love within a whirl of ideas, passions, political and ideological propositions.

PASCUAL and REMIGIO know they have done something hideous and terrible. They can't forgive themselves. Empty holsters and no money is what it has come to after this unspeakable crime. They will die. It's just a matter of days. BOSCO is on their trail to bring them to justice. They go into what seems like a normal forest. And boy do they run for their lives. If they keep running like that they'll die anyway. The seek refuge, they seek water, they seek life. And they fear death the most. Foolish Pascual even plays with the idea of finding God and asking him the question of the ages: Is there life after death? But things get in their way. They stumble upon HALI, a woman that roams the forest with just her donkey as a companion. Remigio wants to eat the donkey. Pascual wants the lady. Food and love. They forget they're going to die, even for just a little while. But the forest has other plans, and maybe the answer they thought was impossible to get is just a couple of walking days away.
