Naive young Karen wants to help her struggling amateur filmmaker boyfriend Christopher raise enough money so he can divorce his wife. Meanwhile, jolly psycho-prankster Otto stalks the building where Christopher is shooting a low-grade adult movie in order to keep himself afloat.

A documentary short directed by Brian De Palma, The Responsive Eye documents the 1965 exhibition of optical art at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Curated by William C. Seitz, the exhibition was the first major museum show dedicated to Op Art. The film captures both the artworks and the reactions of attendees, offering a snapshot of a pivotal moment in the relationship between contemporary art and public perception.

This documentary highlights the state-sponsored discrimination faced by African Americans in the 1960s and the relentless work by Legal Defence Fund's staff and cooperating attorneys to establish legal and social precedent while bridging the gap between hard-earned legal victories and implementation of the law by public authorities.
