One night, a teacher is murdered. A police investigation soon leads to the deceased's true nature and two unlikely suspects.

The provincial seaside town of Cierpie Dolne. Magda, a journalism student, arrives as part of her internship to conduct broadcasts on the local radio station. Her first interview is with police lieutenant Tucznik, also an intern. Businessman Outlaw and the mayor have problems with their sons, Mops and Kitty, who repeatedly abandon undressed girls in the woods. The barmaid falsely accused Mops and Kicius of rape, and received money from the Exception for her silence. Meanwhile, the case to cover up the alleged rape gets complicated.

A multi-dimensional portrait of one of the most distinctive artists in the history of Polish cinematography. Wojciech Jerzy Has always hovered over the line where the mainstream met the avant-garde and his biography was marked by moments of artistic triumphs and personal tragedies.

"I moved to the Beskids because they are beautiful, and several years of experience have confirmed my belief that it was a brilliant idea," said Andrzej Stasiuk, a resident of the village of Czarne near Dukla in the Podkarpacie region for fifteen years, in a recent interview. He knows life in the provinces inside out, having described it many times in his prose and columns. He has experienced its good and bad sides, its problems and shameful corners firsthand.
