Snowboard movie Snowporning The "10th" was produced by online magazine Freeride.cz and LIP Production, filmed in Europe and the U.S. during the winter season 2009/2010 in a documentary-action style focusing on Czech snowboard scene. Itʼs a continuation of last year Snowporning film, which had over its small ambitions and ultra-low budget a great success not only during the premiere tour, but also streaming on the Internet. Thanks to this success, we decided to film another movie. Snowporning The "10th" Movie is also, as the name suggests, a part of the celebrations of the tenth birthday of Freeride.cz online magazine.

Urban Disobedience Toolkit explores the evolving dynamics of public space in big cities, showing how art can inspire people to reclaim and reshape their urban environments. Through three artistic interventions and a performative lecture, the film illustrates ways to “take back the city.” These elements are seamlessly interwoven under the direction of artist and filmmaker Vladimír Turner, who has spent nearly two decades dedicated to art in public spaces. The title, Urban Disobedience Toolkit, highlights the avant-garde potential of art — not as mere decoration, but as a radical intervention and a driving force against technocratic perceptions of the world.

The new adaptation of Chaplin’s Modern Times stresses the absurd scale of technological progress. Due to the progress, humankind does not develop, it becomes atrophied. Hoverboards are a clear evidence of this phenomenon as they free us from the need to walk; and with the prosthetic chassis we are transforming into semi-machines. The identical interpretation key about serial and monotone character of our modern world can be seen in the aerial pictures of identical turnkey houses. The machine-structured reality enslaves us.

A modern-day aborigine, alone on a deserted planet, surrounded by cold nature, builds a new world from the remnants of an extinct civilization. This surreal audiovisual work reflects on the question of human existence when the world is on the verge of destruction, evoking the mourning of an activist artist over an ecological catastrophe.

Like the director's other films, this one was also created during the filming of an event in public space, specifically capturing fragments of the celebrations of the anniversary of the Czechoslovak Velvet Revolution. The film, ostensibly a reportage, transforms the event into a vortex that pays homage to avant-garde films from the first half of the 1920s.

Inner view to the social bubble of those who are running our society without being any part of it. Mixture of shots taken on unspecified VIP event and records from artist’s performative piece which he realized in Prague, is a though reflexion of bitter reality of our lives: No matter how many plastic straws we won’t use, it is not us, who sets the limits.
