The film is a social study of a group of young people defying the odds and building something essential for themselves. Get Thrashed traces the rise, fall and impact of thrash metal; from its early years, through its influence on grunge, nu metal and today's heavy metal scene. It is the story of the heaviest, hardest music of the 80s and early 90s as told by the bands who lived it, the fans and bands that grew up on it and by the artists that carry the "thrash metal" flag today.

It follows Tony and Spat. They have to smoke lots of weed before a vampire pizza party goes all wrong. Screaming Jay pigeons has to rip out vampires eyes to travel to another dimension to save his love and fight the lizard people.

Slayer performed at Wacken Open Air in 2014, and a live recording of their performance, specifically their song "War Ensemble", from that set, was included as a bonus track on the Japanese edition of their album "Repentless". The "Repentless" album was released in September 2015, but the live recording from Wacken was from the previous year.

Recorded live on April 3, 1985 at Studio 54 in New York. Live footage and interviews with Slayer, Venom & Exodus. Venom's live clips are from other videos because Mantas had chickenpox.

Paul Di'Anno (Paul Andrews), Iron Maiden's first vocalist before Bruce Dickinson, passed away in October 2024. Di'Anno was expelled from the band after the release of their second album due to drug and alcohol problems. During this period, he signed a contract excluding him from song royalties after Iron Maiden had risen to fame. "Di'Anno: Iron Maiden's Lost Singer" follows Paul Di'Anno's final years.

Persona Non Grata is the eleventh studio album by American thrash metal band Exodus, released on November 19, 2021. It is their first studio album since Blood In, Blood Out in 2014, and their second to feature vocalist Steve "Zetro" Souza since he returned to the band that same year. This album also features guest appearances from former Exodus guitarist Rick Hunolt and guitarist Lee Altus' bandmate in Heathen, Kragen Lum, who both provide guitar solos on one of the album's tracks, "Lunatic-Liar-Lord".
