Born and raised in South Central Los Angeles, Albright developed an early interest in music, initially taking piano lessons before discovering the saxophone, which became his primary instrument. He attended Locke High School, a notable training ground for young musicians, and later studied at the University of Redlands, where he earned a degree in Business Management with a minor in music. During this period, he also expanded his musical abilities by learning bass guitar. Following his graduation, Albright began his professional career as a studio musician, working with a wide range of artists across genres.
