John Patton Ford is an American screenwriter and film director. He is known for his 2022 debut feature Emily the Criminal, which starred Aubrey Plaza. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, and Ford later received the Best First Screenplay Award at the 2023 Independent Spirits Awards.
