Wind and Cloud find themselves up against a ruthless Japanese warlord intent on invading China.

After Hero Hua marries Jade and leaves her in China, he goes to America to work as a servant and rebels against cruel labour conditions. Jade soon joins him in New York, where they build a family.

The film is a spin-off of the original story and the two protagonists Wind and Cloud. The residents of Sword-Worshipping Manor, which houses the best sword-smiths in the world, are brutally massacred after they are alleged to be plotting a rebellion against the government. The young master of the manor, Ngou Kuet, is the only survivor. Ngou Kuet vows to finish forging the "Kuet" Sword, a task passed down by generations of his family which has yet to be completed. Ngou Kuet attacks Tin Ha Wui and battles with Wind and Cloud to obtain the blood of the Fire Kirin which can unleash the power of the sword. As the blood of the Fire Kirin runs in Wind's veins, he becomes Ngou Kuet's primary target.

Mr Yuen Tai-Yung (b. 1941) is a Chinese artist known for his creation of over 200 iconic Hong Kong movie posters - which include many films from the Bruce Lee, Hui Brothers, Stephen Chow, Jacky Chan and Sammo Hung's kung fu and comedy series. Storm Cloud is a popular Wuxia (martial arts) comics created by famous comic artist-writer- publisher Ma Wing Shing in 1989. The story revolves around 2 protagonists – Nip Fung and Bo King Wan, who learn martial arts at a young age and grow up to become legendary fighters. From 1989 to 2014, a total of 675 chapters have been published. The story has been adapted into films, The Storm Riders (1998) and The Storm Warriors (2009), and has been converted into different media throughout the 1990s and 2000s, such as online video game, TV series, radio drama and novels.
