Barney & Friends is an American children's television series aimed at children from ages 2 to 5. The series, which first aired on April 6, 1992, features the title character Barney, a purple anthropomorphic Tyrannosaurus rex who conveys educational messages through songs and small dance routines with a friendly, optimistic attitude.

Mom and dad dump son Cody, daughter Abby, her best friend Marcella and a baby on the farm with Grandpa and Grandma. Purple dinosaur Barney soon appears to entertain the kids, and when a large colorful egg deposited on a farm by a shooting star is accidentally carted off, Barney and the kids start their chase for it.

Kids for Character was a program that was released on VHS in April 23, 1996. It was a charity special about moral character that featured many different children's characters. It was produced by The Character Counts! Coalition and was distributed by Lyrick Studios. The host of the show is Tom Selleck.

When a surprise package arrives from Miss Vera Goode with her new "Book of Manners for Children," Barney's friends question why minding their manners is so important. Barney explains that they have the perfect opportunity to be on their best behavior because they're invited to a party!

Barney and his friends take the stage to delight and entertain everyone at Radio City Music Hall. They all work together to make a special surprise for the audience using items from "The Barney Bag". But before they are able to share it, a new visitor, The Winkster, sneaks away with the bag.

When a little girl named Melanie dreams of playing her violin in a tlent show, Barney and his friend help her raise her dreams and they discover that some dreams are even bigger than they imagine. So come on everyone Let's Go To The Fair!

Take a trip with Barney, BJ, Baby Bop and their new friends as they discover anything can happen in The Land of Make Believe! When a puzzled young princess from a storybook magically appears, the group begins a quest to help her find her way home. On the journey, they swim with dolphins, see a beautiful mermaid and even meet a magician! But will the princess ever find her kingdom?

When Emily complains that she's having trouble writing a poem for a school assignment, her dinosaur pal Barney recruits his good friend Mother Goose for a one-on-one tutorial about rhythm and rhyme. The fun-to-follow curriculum features a lineup of nursery rhyme standards and sing-along favorites, including "Baa Baa Black Sheep," "London Bridge," "Old King Cole," "Little Boy Blue" and "The Old Lady in the Shoe."

While visiting the show, Stella the Storyteller's suitcase of props explodes, and Barney and the kids help repack it. But while giving assistance, they also use the props to tell classic stories: Rumpelstiltskin, Rapunzel, and more. This enjoyable installment in the Barney library may very likely be the place some child viewers will hear these stories for the first time.
