In the mid-70s, eight young female dancers struggle to make ends meet in a sexist workplace. However, they discover strength in unity and the bravery to oppose and alter one's circumstances during a turbulent summer.

Them From That Thing is a sketch show featuring a host of Channel 4 comedy stars. The series features Blake Harrison (The Inbetweeners), Kayvan Novak (Facejacker), Sally Phillips (Smack The Pony) and Morgana Robinson (Very Important People) alongside with a host of famous faces from the world of drama. Set in the modern world where serious characters say and do very stupid things, Them From That Thing combines the look and feel of great British drama with a silly and slightly unhinged comic sensibility.

Mona Bergström is a sweet eurovision-obsessed woman in her 30s. She is married to a lazy husband and has four children, all named after her favorite Swedish Eurovision popstars. Her brother is a crossdressing guy self-titled "Candy Darling". Mona works in a retirement home for disabled people, where she is responsible for taking care of a young man named David who suffers a movement-restricting disease forcing him into a wheelchair. David's parents have abandoned him, as they wanted a normal child. Mona holds a big place in David's heart, and vica versa. David's goal is to get his parents to come and visit him, and he wants to show them that he is a great person, despite his handicap. Therefore he works with music on his computer, and his goal is to create a song, send it to "The Cardigans", a famous Swedish band and have them play the song and credit him, hoping his parents would spot it and want to visit him.

This year's Cirkusrevy has it all: show, fun, satire, and stars who can make it all float effortlessly," wrote Berlingske's reviewer about Cirkusrevyen 2024, which once again this year serves up satire, parodies, and a fast-paced show with sharp lyrics and beautiful music. Cirkusrevy debutant Silas Holst performs a dazzling parody of Queen Mary, who tries to help King Frederik, played by Niels Ellegaard, remember his motto.

There is magic in the air when Szhirley, Jimmy Jørgensen, Lea Thiim Harder, and many others perform in the musical, which features a string of the greatest hits from the 1980s. Through the music, a poignant story is told about a group of people who are reminded of the dreams they once dared to have, the life that was possible back then, and the love they may be allowed to experience again.

Joy-Maria Frederiksen is the new director in 2023, and there is plenty of topicality and depth, while preserving the revue's fine heritage. Cirkusrevyen 2023 is an elegant performance with enthusiastic performers.
