Helga is a documentary film that deals with the physical aspects of human anatomy and reproduction. From the earliest stages of pregnancy, to birth, the camera follows Helga through all, until she has her baby. This semi-documentary-styled film relies heavily on medical and educational information. The actual birth is filmed in remarkable close-up sequences.

The whole intrigue is centered around carte-blanche documents kept in a vault. Whoever fills in the blank becomes the owner of a revue. Big money is involved. The nephew of the owner of the vault is trying to cheat his uncle and have his name in the documents. Everything is even more complicated because the manager of the bank has a finger in the pie, too. Who but a humble bank-teller (Pierre Richard) will ruin the scheme?

The 17-year-old, musically gifted Stephan is expelled from school for making statements critical of the regime. With his future as a musician now blocked, he commits suicide. His girlfriend Cornelia wants to follow him to his death, but is prevented from doing so by her parents at the last moment.

A pilot crashes his plane in the desert, in the middle of the night. There is no one in the vast distance. Suddenly, a miraculous figure of a child emerges from the darkness - "The Little Prince". He asks the pilot to draw him a sheep. Now there are two of them in a vast desert with only one water source. They get closer and bond with each other.
