A group of unique characters from dramatically different socio-cultural backgrounds meet in startling circumstances in the vibrant and colorful city of Istanbul, some by chance and some by force of will.

Lia, a retired teacher from Georgia, learns from her young neighbor, Achi, that her long-lost transgender niece, Tekla, has crossed the border into Turkey. In search of Tekla, Lia travels to Istanbul with the unpredictable Achi, where they explore the hidden depths of the city.

A story in four parts is told from the perspective of two children, showing life in school, in nature, with family and at home. All of this unfolding along with the seasons. The Small Town depicts life in the village, while also portraying the relationships between members of a small-town family, in a long centerpiece scene around a campfire with family members talking about the past, life and its disappointments. Both brother and sister witness the complexities and darkness of the adult world, as well as the mysteries of nature and wildlife.

Again, she meets with failure; and again, she is knocked sideways. Just like all of us, Şükran keeps looking helplessly for ways to communicate with other people until the bitter end. Her helplessness may not be the exact same to our own helplessness as spectators, but they are indeed in very close proximity.

Tas (Rock) is a film that presents a cross-section of the life of a family living a hard life in the countryside. It is a touch of sadness in the life of people living in nature- even as a part of it. And that life is nothing more than the waiting of a woman and man who lost their son. After waiting for many years, the family tries to get rid of the uncertainty by believing that the wounded man they found at the door is Selim (Ahmet Varli), their son.

A brother and sister are split up after their mother dies, their father remarries, and their new stepmother rejects them.

As Ali gets to know Gülce, he becomes involved in the old man’s story too. Ali goes on his search on the threshold of this encounter, asking a question to which he wouldn’t find an answer to: is any happiness possible?

At the end of every summer, 'Hasanpasa' village holds a shepherding contest. The traditional contest requires shepherds to herd their sheep one by one through a pool of water. The shepherd who crosses the pool with his flock fastest and with least hesitation wins the contest. 'Hasanpasa's seasoned champion for the past eight years is an elderly shepherd known as 'Takmaz'. 'Takmaz' is determined to teach the younger generation the finer points of being a good shepherd, like him.
