Kusanagi plays a gentle glass craftsman in Yamagata who has no experience in love. Imai plays an older housewife with a husband and daughter who goes on a trip alone to Yamagata, hoping to see sakura trees blooming in winter. She gets into an accident, but is saved by Kusanagi. He ends up tending to her, and the two are soon drawn to each other.

Rosa Kato plays the type-A Yukie, an OL in the accounting department of a small firm, while Naoki Nokubo plays her partner. Yumiko Shaku (type-B) is a successful drama screenwriter, pairing up with Hiroyuki Miyasako. Yu Kashii (type-O) is a freeter whose partner is played by Taiwanese actor Wilson Chen. Asami Mizukawa plays the last Yukie (type-AB), a university student. She is teaming up with TOKIO's Shigeru Joshima.

Episode 3 (O-type) - Yu Kashii plays a furniture store clerk with O-type blood who has to take care of a visiting designer from Taiwan with A-type blood played by Wilson Chen. Episode 4 (AB-type) - Asami Mizukawa plays an engineering student with AB-type blood who gets a lesson in love from associate professor Shigeru Joshima.
