16 years after “Love of the Children“, the drama tells the story of Mira and her patchwork family. She has recently taken over the management of a supermarket. Her relationship with her husband Tarik and her two daughters gives her support. But a single weak moment in which Mira fails to tell the truth leads to other half-truths and lies until everything blows up in her face.

Eve and Adam meet in Eden. It soon becomes apparent that they don’t find each other particularly attractive. But do they have a choice? Writing helps. They each start keeping a diary about this first encounter between two human beings — from very different perspectives, as one might imagine. And as they get on each other’s nerves and recount terrible things about each other, they discover an unexpected new emotion: love.

The middle-aged family man Hans-Christian (HC) left by his wife goes to Ireland for a short break with his old friends Wolfgang and Nic. He should win at Guinness bonfires and fishing trips distance to the chaos at home. HC has to learn to say no and need other women, his friends believe, to get rid of his loser habitus. In the already tense situation, old competition fights, outbursts of anger and self-pity quickly come up. And Nic and Wolfgang seem to have needed the time-out almost as much as HC.

Two single parents decide to move in together and their two teenage children fall in love.

Midnight in Marrakech: After Cecile parts ways with her boyfriend, she finds herself alone at the busy nightly Bus Terminal. With nowhere to go, she strays around "Bab Doukkala", an exotic world just outside the Medina, bathed in yellow light. Attracted through the smell of his special cigarette, she luckily gets to know Tarek, the car-park attendant, who introduces her to his universe. We follow them into a little known part of the red city, semi-documentary style.

At a motivational seminar, seminar leader Marius meets Jörg, an Ossi who doesn't understand. When Marius teaches him how to open a door with the right attitude, suddenly none of the participants can remember them. They are forgotten by the world, dependent on each other. Marius discovers that opening doors in the parallel universe creates unexpected opportunities for them to change places at will and live freely. But life as a couple brings with it tensions.

Two sailors meet again years later in Berlin.
