Kim Sun-jae

Cho-won is an autistic but happy young man who loves to draw zebras and run. His mother wants him to feel normal by accomplishing a feat that no one thought his son could achieve. With the help of a coach in exile, she trains him to become a marathon runner.

Activist and law school graduate Kim is being persecuted by the mid-’70s Park regime for trying to write a book about Jeon Tae-il, a union activist who immolated himself at age 22 to protest government hypocrisy.

Between her and me .. always 101cm Koo Young-seop (Moon Seong-geun), the chief of the construction company, has seen the line 99 times, but he is a bachelor who is retired. However, Young-seop sees the cellist garden (Kim Hee-ae) and Zen for the 100th time, but knows that she is too undeserved of her, but makes every effort to open her heart. On his way to China, where he is to meet a longtime lost cousin, Kim, a filmmaker, meets a young woman, Young-hwa. When he meets her a second time in a hotel, he decides to follow her until Tae-bak, where she meets up with her sister.

Middle-aged Yeong-gyeong and Su-hwan meet at the wedding party of a common friend. She passes out drunk, and he carries her home on his back. Soon this becomes a daily ritual, as the two broken beings – one’s spirit consumed by alcohol and the other’s body sapped by arthritis – begin to find strength and solace in each other. Their gentle, platonic bond – outside society, outside history – offers a chance at salvation, but is severely stressed by Yeong-gyeong’s repeated relapses.

It’s a story about reconciliation of a mother and a daughter. Purification water, the first menstruation, the moon, a pomegranate, a thread-ball and a flower pot of mother. These images are combined in the process of reflection through dream, memory and unconsciousness.
