The premise of the series revolves around the daily lives of different couples of all ages from 20 to 65, but who are not connected to each other. Each couple has their own space where they live, while the story of each couple in each episode is not connected to the stories of the other couples.

"RIFIFI" is inspired by the notorious bank robbery that took place in Athens in 1992. Who carried it out and why? The authorities spoke of organized crime, terrorist groups, and highly educated, ruthless perpetrators. But was it really like that? Through the power of fiction, the new production by COSMOTE TV combines the biggest heist ever committed in Greece with a true story of human tragedy, creating a character-driven series full of emotion and strong elements of humor.

The Haritou family's ancestral home was initially inhabited only by the unmarried youngest daughter, Irini. However, in the first episode of the series, her older and widowed sister, Olga, moves into the same house until the construction of the new house she is building is completed. Although initially they thought that her move would be temporary, it eventually became permanent for the entire series. The connecting link of all the stand-alone episodes is the "ghost" couple, Eva - Theophilos. After their death, they are given a second chance at life as long as they win a bet. Eva will have to break up more couples than Theophilos can keep together. Their fights are proverbial and in order to achieve their goal, they find inventive ways to get involved in the lives of the "cuckold" heroes and turn them upside down...!

The series follows the lives and loves of three 30-something professionals in modern day Athens. Elli (Faidra Douka) is a junior executive in a record company, having to deal with a highly demanding bitch-of-a-boss. Following the end of a serious relationship, Elli is worried about never having a chance to marry or have kids. Her search for new partners mostly results in the entry of weirdos in her life. Mitsaki (Mirto Alikaki) is a radio producer with a love-hate-relationship with her own boss. A life-long party girl with a tendency towards short-lived relationships and an aversion to taking any short of responsibility, Mitsaki has to come to grips with the idea of growing up. Billy (Giorgos Pyrpassopoulos) is a reporter with a rather unsteady love-life. He is a homosexual, but tends to be turned-off by the quirks of his various partners and has yet to fully commit to a relationship.

Eva and Christina are two modern women, around thirty-five, inseparable friends since they were eighteen. They have studied acting, but are out of the theater, each for their own reasons. She works as a waitress in an "in" bar, "Ephemeron", where the artistic world gathers, in order to be able to make ends meet. Eva, locked in the golden cage of a socially successful, but essentially unsuccessful, marriage to the great lawyer Minas Christopoulos, is busy raising the two children she had with him and her mother.
