Pablo Santiago was a renowned Filipino film director and producer, celebrated for his significant contributions to Philippine cinema, particularly in the action genre. He began his career in the film industry in the 1950s, making his directorial debut with Lo Waist Gang in 1958, a film that played a pivotal role in establishing Fernando Poe Jr. as a leading action star. Over his extensive career, Santiago directed numerous acclaimed films, including Nag-uumpugang Bato (1961), Nueva Vizcaya (1973), and Bontoc (1977).
