In France in the near future, revolt and chaos erupt. A right-wing politician, Philippe Muphand, is set to take control when his lady friend Caroline walks out, announcing she will take up with the first fool she sees. The fool is Serge Laine, a professor and author of the prize-winning "Le voyage qui ne finit pas," headed to the train station for tickets to Barcelona where he and his wife will enjoy a second honeymoon and he will lecture at the university. Caroline seduces Serge, and he soon abandons wife, family, job, and honesty to embrace Caroline, the romanticism of Jack London, and murder.

Luys Forest is a writer with a Falangist political past. He lives isolated in a coastal town, writing his memoirs (actually rewriting and adapting his autobiography with the times), and brooding over his failed marriage. His sister is worried about him and decides to send her daughter Mariana to stay with him. Mariana and a seemingly mute and artistic lesbian companion come to town to shake the stable world of Luys with their free and uninhibited ways. Soon begins a game of seduction that ends up exposing the intellectual game of Luys.

A veteran policeman named Fernando feels a lot of hatred against Ángel because the boy ran him over with a car leaving him lame. Now Fernando accuses the young crook of having participated in a robbery at a gas station in which a murder has occurred. Perros Callejeros is based on the juvenile delinquency of the 1970s and 80s in Spain. The story is set in Barrio de la Mina in Barcelona one of the most conflict neighbourhoods in Spain. The characters chosen were real juvenile delinquents all with criminal records, which the director used to give the film a realistic touch. This film is very powerful and dramatic, it shows how these kids were brought up to survive on the streets.

The parallel stories of a police commissioner and a bank robber whose lives eventually come together.

One day, without knowing how or why, the birds of a big city leave, disappear. It is believed to be a protest against environmental pollution. Some children (the Regaliz group), then embark on an ecological campaign to get the birds to return to the city.

Begoña, a waitress at an elegant club in Bilbao, manages to get shipowner Javier Uriarte to hire her father, Patxi Barrenechea, as captain of the merchant ship Urkia. Begoña meets Esteban, the leader of a gang of ship thieves operating in the estuary, who is also traveling on the Urkia. The voyage turns out to be very different from what they expected, as the ship is transporting weapons to an African country.
