Moving from the city to the countryside, 11-year-old Anni has a tough time settling in – until she encounters Wild Heart, an untamed horse, to whom she feels an almost magical connection. But soon after, their bond is put at risk, as some ruthless horse thieves are targeting Wild Heart’s herd.

She grows up in a village, protected by a foster mother. Her fearlessness indicates early on that heroic blood is flowing in Lenya's young veins. When her village is raided and many of her friends are murdered, she makes it her business to seek vengeance and fight for justice.

Professional diver Sven has a guilty conscience: his job means he has too little time for his family. He even almost misses the cruise ship on which he is supposed to look after their daughter while his wife does research for an article about the ship. But then terrorists take over the MS SeaStar and take Sven's wife and daughter hostage. They threaten to blow up the entire ship.
