Known For

The fourth and last of the George A. Hirliman-produced films starring George O'Brien (preceded by "Daniel Boone", "Park Avenue Logger" and "Hollywood Cowboy") that were distributed by RKO Radio. Hirliman sold O'Brien's contract to RKO, which then produced 18 series westerns starring O'Brien that ended when O'Brien went into the Navy at the outbreak of WW II. Long-time (past and future) O'Brien director David Howard served as Hirliman's Associate Producer on this film. "Windjammer" finds O'Brien as a subpoena server ordered to serve a subpoena on Brandon Evans (The Commondore) for a senate inquiry or lose his job. Posing as a playboy, he boards the Commodore's yacht during a yacht race, and the yacht is wrecked by a gun-running windjammer commanded by Captain Morgan (William Hall.) All hands are picked up by the windjammer, including the Commodore's daughter (played by Constance Worth) and put to work as galley slaves.

Boisterous teen Judy Bellaire is expelled from her all-female boarding school for convincing her fellow school chorus members to sing a classical piece with a modern swing beat. She returns to her dysfunctional home, dejected, but, with the encouragement of her family's cook, Judy decides to follow her dream and audition for a Broadway musical.

He returns just as Chandler shoots Tracy and Kentucky finds himself arrested for another murder.

Tom completes the delivery and is hired by Dorothy as foreman. There he finds Carter and Peters, who have been rustling Dorothy's cattle and stealing right and left from the Bar M. Peters buys up the mortgage and then kidnaps Dorothy when Tom goes away to get the money to pay it off. Tom effects her rescue with the aid of Little Joey and Bendy Mulligan, a rheumatic old cowpuncher. The mortgage is paid off, and Bendy's accidental discovery of oil while taking a mud bath solves Dorothy's financial problems. Dorothy and Tom wed.

Ralph is the poor inventor of an automobile motor with revolutionary claims. Marvin is the wealthy and one time college pal. Unknown to either of them, they both seek the hand of a charming young lady whose creditor-hounded parents' desires are for a well-to-do son-in-law. However, the girl's affection leans toward Ralph. In the meantime Ralph enlists the aid of his wealthy pal in the matter of financing the motor factory. Thus assured of success, he hastens to his sweetheart with matrimonial plans all set. All is well until the four meet at a restaurant party.

Joe Regan, a kindly traffic cop, comes home with presents for Jerry Murphy, his young ward, and discovers that the boy has been hit by a car. The doctors advise a sea cure, and Joe takes Jerry to a seaside resort, where they meet Alicia Davidson.
