Heinz is a well-stocked veterinarian in Klückow and his Jana in quite firm, although not always present hands. And now - as Aunt Alma is slowly getting rid of the concern for her beloved nephew - Dr. Kröpelin finally got his chance: he makes a marriage proposal to Alma. Father Karlheinz Liebtraut and daughter Elke live together and don't know how to introduce their partners to each other. Even the subtle hints from neighbor Mrs. Seidenglanz don't help the obtuse father - and he also has his secrets. After many misunderstandings, the daughter finally meets Paula, her father's future wife, and daughter Elke no longer has to pass her Hanspeter off as an electrician.
