Pierre is invited to go on a weekend trip to an old country house belonging to best friend Marc. The property is overrun by Marc’s frighteningly unruly dogs. Marc assures Pierre that they are harmless, but when Pierre rebuffs Marc’s sexual advances, the canines turn nasty.

Laure, a single thirty-five-year-old, accumulates a series of fixed-contract jobs, unsuccessfully hoping each time that her work will lead to a permanent position. As her periods of employment shrink, her love affairs take the same path.

Louise’s life is splintering. At work they’ve been shunting her aside. And she’s separating from her boyfriend, who works for the same company. When she learns that her contract will not be renewed, she starts witnessing bizarre attacks.
