Daniel Bellanger, a night-club crooner, is a basically straight,honest man. He has just married Christiane, a cashier in a Montmartre hotel and his main objective in life is to live happily with his wife and Pierrot, the son she had of a former union. Unfortunately Daniel accepts the offer of his old friend Freddy to run a gambling den. The place is frequented by a host of dubious guys, among whom a hood named Mario. The latter finds Christiane to his liking and soon shows he is prepared to do anything to take her away from Daniel, including kidnapping little Pierrot.
Arlette thinks she has made a wonderful gift to her daughter Sylvie, who has just married François Morel, a young journalist. And, to tell the truth, not everybody receives a posh little bar like the Royal Montmartre as a gift. The trouble is that Monsieur Jo, the former owner of the joint is also the boss of a gang of drug traffickers. And that he has managed to persuade the pair of naive lovebirds to drop a painting to a friend on their way to their honeymoon place. Now the picture is stuffed with drugs! Charming, charming but unstable, Rudy is married to Lydia. He dreams of becoming a famous painter. His father-in-law offers him a contract: if he stays in the same job for at least two months, he can devote himself to painting. Under the name of his friend Ravot, Rudy is hired to teach gymnastics at a girls' college. Things soon get complicated. The jealous Lydia, who plays student, keeps an eye on her husband. The headmistress glares at him, and the arrival of the real Mme Ravot doesn't help matters. The contract is almost not honored, but as in the best comedies, everything works out.

Josette, the daughter of a hotel-casino owner on the French Riviera is wooed by Pradier, a young gambler she (and everyone else) mistakes for the Prince of Austravia. On the other hand another young man starts courting her and she does not feel insensitive to his advances. What she does not know is that Monsieur Lefèvre, whom she feels so much to her liking, is actually the real prince of Austravia. When the Austravian revolution dethrones the prince, the young man has only one citadel left to conquer: Josette's heart.
The story of balladistic intonation takes place at Lake Balaton, in a fisher village. The love of Kovács Mária and Szabó Mihály is hopeless due to a long animosity between their families. Mária is married by her father to his adopted son Kovács Jani. The unhappy young woman is unable to hide her love for Mihály and therefore her angry father sentences her with the traditionally suitable penalty of unfaithful women, she is put on the stormy waters of Balaton in a boat without oars or scull.

She latches onto a wealthy widower, Henri Vilbert, who throws her a curve-ball when, after she tells him she is pregnant, he is overjoyed as he has fallen in love with her and is looking forward to becoming a father. She plays along for a while, but becomes ashamed when she sees how Vilbert is devoting his whole life to a child that she isn't carrying. She fakes a miscarriage and his kindness makes her feel guilty and she confesses, but he doesn't believe her. So she tries another plan.
Sénéchal, an actor touring the provinces with the "Tournées Carlini" does not meet the success he thinks he deserves. One night in Dreux, he finds himself without his luggage and dressed up as a Foreign Legion officer, he is invited to a party thrown by a colonel. He creates a sensation there and does not leave the colonel's wife ... indifferent! Back in Paris, Sénéchal goes through a similar experience. This time around, wearing tuxedo and top hat, he gets mistaken for a diplomat and charms the guests of a wedding party. Arrested by the police, he chooses to do without an attorney at his trial and his brilliant eloquence has him acquitted. A question remains unanswered though : will all those people who give an ovation in real life ever go to see him on stage ?
