The backbone of the "Državni Posao (Government Job)" are satirical talks between the three actors, the comments are reminiscent of the "stand-up" form. These are short, witty comments and observations on daily life, circumstances, sociopolitical situation, sports, entertainment world, their personal opinions on various topics. The main idea is to present day in a non-existent government company and three employees of thinking about daily events in it, but also about life and society in general. Topics drawn from the daily and weekly press, for various blogs, websites, talk about movies, series, shows - radio and television. The idea is that actors humorously comment on current events, to laugh viewers and encourage them to think about them.

Three stories set in Belgrade by night: A loving couple who alarms public uproar for kissing in the street, a lonely boxing handler whose help isn't really appreciated, and two young people who never manage to get to know each other due to dress code issues.

A group of children build a loft in an abandoned yard, but instead of pigeons, a man and his two sons move into it. At first, boys try to get rid of the unwanted intruders, but eventually they befriend with them. However, the municipality sends their men to tear down the illegal housing, but the children decide to stop them at all costs.

Engineer Maric finds out about an affair between his wife Rina and his best friend, a lawyer Novakovic. Maric leaves the house with suicidal intentions. At the big funeral, Novakovic consoles unfortunate Rina, while in the funeral procession a whole bunch of suspicious people try to claim close relations with the deceased one in order to get hold of a piece of his inheritance.

In the moment when Belgrade industrialist Života Cvijović had dreams to marry off his son Milorad, Doctor of Philosophy, to a minister of transport's daughter, a telegram from Milorad's professor from Heidelberg arrives, saying that he wants to visit them. Bad luck is that Velimir, a poor student, was financed by Milorad, and studying under his name received a diploma.

A warm tale of friendship forged between a lonely boy Agi and an elderly lady Ema. Abandoned by everyone, these two outcast manage to unite and overcome harsh reality.

Members of Jasna's group are suspicious because of her firing from occupation Special police squad and they start avoiding her. She finds out the members of the group have been betrayed but they become even more suspicious. At the moment when they were ready to liquidate her the true traitor is revealed. Thanks to Jasna's courage an action becomes success and she regains their trust.

A boy-poet from the village enrolls at the elementary school in the nearest city, but the other kids reject him for not being one of theirs. However, the real values emerge at the surface.

Upon returning home at war's end, a young lieutenant discovers that his family has been murdered by the Nazis. It's all the handiwork of a treasonous "Chetnik," who during the war worked against the partisans on behalf of the Germans. In bitter retaliation, the lieutenant sets about to decimate the Chetnik's family. He stops short, however, when he realizes that the sins of the fathers are not always passed down to the innocent children.
