Thedi Vandha Mappillai is directed by P.R. Panthulu released in 1970. Pasupathy(Major Sundarrajan)’s boss is shot by an unknown man, but the blame falls on Pasupathy. The surviving boss sends away his wife Parvati and son Shankar in to hiding fearing his family's fate. Pasupathy finally manages to find Parvati, and soon Suresh a notorious smuggler imprisons Shankar, and impersonates him, for his wealth.Parvati is forced to play along, as Suresh threatens to kill Shankar. The rest of story unveils who won in the end, Shankar or the evil forvces.

Nadodi is another successful film of MGR directed by Bhanthulu. MGR & Saroja Devi excellently performed as blind in this movie. The movie contains all popular songs as Androru Naal, Kadavul Seitha Paavam , Naadu Athai Naadu, Thirumbi Vaa, Rasikkathane Indha Azhagu. The good screenplay makes us to enjoy the movie with great performance.

Sri Krishnadevaraya is a 1970 Indian historical drama film in Kannada language, produced and directed by B. R. Panthulu. It stars Rajkumar as Krishnadevaraya, an emperor of the Vijayanagara Empire in the 16th century. R. Nagendra Rao, B. R. Panthulu, Narasimharaju and N. Bharathi appear in pivotal roles.

The film encompasses the story of Daksha yajna. It depicts how the daksha yajna was desecrated following the jumping into the fire by Lord Shiva's wife Dakshayani. Following this, Lord Shiva marries Goddess Parvati. Later, the Devatas Shiva, Ganga, Gowri all take birth as avatars on earth in the city of Kashi. Eventually, Shiva, Gowri and Ganga all get married in their earthly avatars.

Beedi Basavanna is a 1967 Indian Kannada language film, directed and produced by B. R. Panthulu. The film stars Rajkumar, Bharathi, Vandana (B. Vijayalakshmi) and Narasimharaju. The film has musical score by T. G. Lingappa. B. R. Panthulu remade the movie in Tamil in 1970 as Thedi Vandha Mappillai with minor changes.
